Climate Action Campaign – Arizona
Creating and executing a statewide, grassroots media campaign

Challenge:
Resolute was engaged by a broad coalition of leading national environmental, public health, and national security groups to implement a statewide, grassroots media campaign to address climate change in Arizona. The campaign involved elevating awareness and engaging the public on climate change issues through the successful execution of multiple media events throughout the state.

Strategy and Tactics:
Utilizing both digital and earned media tactics, Resolute secured media stories in every major media market in Arizona, with different speakers and organizations participating in each event. We performed an extensive stakeholder assessment of local environmental, political, and public health organizations to engage and recruit for the campaign.

Outcome:
The campaign recruited and connected community stakeholders across Arizona who shared a commitment to combating climate change. In total, Resolute completed 11 media events and secured more earned media than the other four states participating in the broader, national campaign. Our team successfully secured 33 media clips, recruited 54 speakers, including 12 elected officials, and engaged 24 local community partners.
