Resolute Connects Client with Make-A-Wish Foundation

Resolute recently identified an opportunity to help Idris, a brave young boy battling congenital heart disease, realize his dream of becoming a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) operator. Through the combined efforts of Make-A-Wish Illinois, CRRC Sifang America (CRRC) and Resolute, Idris experienced an unforgettable day.

Make-A-Wish Illinois had already set Idris up with the CTA for a chance to be a railcar operator as reported by ABC Chicago. Recognizing a chance to enhance this experience, Resolute’s Dave Smolensky coordinated with Resolute client CRRC, the Illinois manufacturer building the next generation of railcars for the CTA, to provide another hands-on opportunity.

Thanks to the dedication of CRRC and support from Make-A-Wish Illinois, Idris and his family were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the manufacturing process of the CTA’s 7000 Series railcars. The morning was filled with smiles, laughter and hope—not just for Idris and his brothers, but for everyone involved.

This initiative highlights the importance of taking the time to connect resources and efforts to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
